Indeed, electricity is currently experiencing a significant increase in its prices. As we can see in the two graphs below, the price of MWh has seen a significant increase in one year on French marketplaces.

We are therefore facing an increase of more than 140% at the peak purchase point between 08/25/2020 and 08/25/2021! (the price of MWh going from less than €50 to more than €115).
Furthermore, we already know that the price of the megawatt hour will continue to increase in the coming years for various reasons:
- increasing the share of renewable energy in our energy mix (indeed, today some renewable energies are more expensive to produce than nuclear),
- the maintenance of French nuclear reactors (requiring major work and costing billions of euros),
- the renewal of the energy transport network and its burial to meet new consumption patterns (higher power demands, increasing number of charging stations for electric vehicles, etc.).
It is therefore urgent to react to reduce the impact of these increases on our wallets !
There are several solutions for this. The simplest is to optimize your own consumption by eliminating all “unnecessary” consumption (eliminating energy leaks from our installations/processes and adapting our consumption patterns).
Do you want to act now and become proactive in managing your consumption ?
